Holy Carp!
Went fishing for an hour before heading out to Rhode Island. In the last couple minutes I hook up. After a couple of minutes fighting the fish I landed it. It was 11.8lbs and pulled like a horse.
I use 8-8 Black Beauty And 9ft Penn I use these rods for everything. 50lb Power Pro yellow with 15lb flouro leader
What kind if rod are you guys using for carp
I use #4 hooks, perfect size, this is just my 2 cents! Muskies the pro

I use #2 to 2/0 depends Hook has to be SHARP SHARP and exposed!! Maybe we can hook up, It's Carp time!!!!
You need to use a trout hook other wise they will spit it out
What size hook and bait did you use? I spent a couple hours this morning on the Charles in Boston and saw some HUGE carp in the westernmost pool. I'm set up looking for bass though, so I don't see a carp hitting my jig & craw trailer. If the carp are just sitting there though, wouldn't mind giving them a try if it takes a smaller hook and some corn.
